My name is Philip Adams and I work in Washington D.C. But that information is not important. My goal of this blog is to express and share the unique perspective I have on this world. Hence, the title "conceptual reality." Because i live alone in my apartment in the city.....sounds like that matchbox 20 song huh... I have been spending some very valuable time contemplating my place in the world and trying to find my one niche. Along with my freeflowing thoughts i have been reading some very interesting books. You guys have probably heard of my favorite one....The Bible. Along with the bible, i picked up "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield. This book is incredible. But I will warn you it is not the page turner you would imagine. On the surface the book is an adventure tale about a man who stumbles across this ancient manuscript that has the catholic church on it's toes. The manuscript is comprised of nine insights. These insights explain how we are evolving as a human race. By "evolve" I mean grow as a people. The insights describe an underlying synchronicity humans are unaware of on the surface. I know this is getting really deep really fast. Bare with me. It's like this; Have you ever had an extreme coincidence happen that you brushed off at first and later on you realized that it may of had some meaning behind it. The best way to describe it is alot like how God speaks to us and guides us. God never will beat us over the head with a stick or pull us by the arm. I believe He places things in our lives that gently tap us in the direction He wants us to be gowing in. Redfield's book talks about understanding these coincidences and relishing in them. This is synchronicity. The other insights get very detailed and I would sugest this book to anyone who realizes (like me) that there is more to this world then what we visualize.
Again, My advice and thoughts have no basis more realiable than my own meandering experience. I am only twenty two years old and I am smart enough to realize that I do not have all the answers. I believe that life is about serving God, loving others, and leaving a positive message for future generations to come. I will try
